Dr. Ruchi Seth
Principal, Delhi Public School, Sushant Lok, Gurgoan
A Ph.D. in Adolescent Psychology, Dr. (Mrs) Ruchi Seth has many years of experience behind her in actually relating to and having a positive influence on adolescents on a daily basis. She has been an educator par excellence throughout her teaching career and therefore, expects nothing but the best from the teachers under her wing. Dr Seth donned the mantle as Principal of DPS Sushant Lok on November 3rd 2008, and a proud day it was indeed for the school!
Having joined DPSSL from Delhi Police Public School, Safdarjung Enclave, where she was Founder Principal and was there for 18 years to see it make its onward journey on the path to progress, she sets very high standards of achievement so that students and teachers alike are forever on their toes striving to do their best each day at DPS Sushant Lok as well. Dr Seth foresees a great future for the school and is brimming over with ideas which she wishes to incorporate over time so the school can reach newer heights of achievement.
Aspiration, inspiration, application and the inherent desire to achieve are what will help students attain their goals. A combination of hard work and play as well as the pursuit of one’s creative interests ought to go a long way in bringing out the best in our pupils. Indeed, we make our world significant by the courage of our questions and by the depth of our answers. Desirous of seeing the students of DPS Sushant Lok as lifelong learners and achievers, she makes it a point to personally interact with the students as she firmly believes that opening the doors of communication between children and adults has a positive effect on the psyche of students and builds the foundation of healthy minds and well integrated human beings, better equipped to take on all of life’s challenges.Dr Seth rightly feels that teachers are here not just to teach but to inspire their students to learn. As Plutarch, the Roman philosopher from 46 AD put it, “A mind is a fire to be kindled, not a vessel to be filled..…”
